What To Expect From Re-roofing Your Home
Plan For The Noise
There WILL be hammering during most phases of your re-roofing project. Plan your schedule accordingly.
Stay Clean
If your existing roof is to be removed: Have your belongings stored in the ATTIC and GARAGE area's COVERED. Shingles particles and dust may fall into the attic and garage during the Tear-Off of the old roof.
If Your Existing Roof is to be Removed
If the existing roof is to be removed: Our dump trailer will be placed in the driveway until roof is completed.
Access The Roof
We will need to access the roof via the driveway in most cases. Please park vehicles out of the driveway and garage areas while work is in progress and for delivery of materials.
Removal of Items
Remove loosely hung items from the exterior walls and overhangs and move any items such as chairs, tables and movable plants at least 10 feet away from the eves of the house that could be damaged by falling shingles.
Electrical Power Outlet Access
We will need access to an electrical power outlet, usually one outside or if one outside is not available an electrical outlet from the garage. We will also need access to the back and side yard areas to clean up the grounds at the end of the day.
Gas Utility Ventilation
Check gas utility ventilation stacks to ensure none have dislodged during re-roofing. (The roofers can check this for you if you provide access to the attic).
Keeps Kids & Pets Away
Please keep children and pets away from work areas.
